It is also important to bear in mind that certain countries have strict rules on the import of animals. Especially when it comes to overseas, you should check with the veterinarian in advance about the vaccination and quarantine regulations of the respective country. For example, it is only worthwhile to enter Australia if a longer trip is planned, as the quarantine time alone can take a few days to weeks.
